Twenty-one names, five Italians and two entries through the Accelerator programmes. The first outline of the Levante Open 2026 field is already visible in the tournament acceptance list, with the event scheduled from 28 September to 4 October on the clay courts of Circolo Tennis Bari.
The entry list, however, is not yet the draw. It is a snapshot of the players accepted at this stage: between now and the start of the tournament there may be withdrawals, players moving up from the alternates list, wild cards and qualifiers. It should therefore be read for what it is today, without treating it as final.
Updated: 10 September 2026. The rankings shown are those associated with the acceptance list used for this update; they may not match the ATP Rankings on the day the article is viewed.
The 21 names on the Bari entry list
The list is headed by Denmark’s Elmer Moller, shown at No. 170, followed by Vitaliy Sachko. The first two Italians, Gianluca Cadenasso and Lorenzo Giustino, appear immediately behind them. In total, the initial list contains the following names:
- Elmer Moller (Denmark) – ranking 170
- Vitaliy Sachko (Ukraine) – ranking 188
- Gianluca Cadenasso (Italy) – ranking 194
- Lorenzo Giustino (Italy) – ranking 201
- Roberto Carballes Baena (Spain) – ranking 209
- Pol Martin Tiffon (Spain) – ranking 210
- Maxim Mrva (Czech Republic) – ranking 212
- Stefano Napolitano (Italy) – ranking 229
- Jay Clarke (Great Britain) – ranking 242
- Gilles Arnaud Bailly (Belgium) – ranking 244
- Martin Krumich (Czech Republic) – ranking 263
- Buvaysar Gadamauri (Belgium) – ranking 265
- Marvin Moeller (Germany) – ranking 278
- Daniel Michalski (Poland) – ranking 302
- Enrico Dalla Valle (Italy) – ranking 333
- Daniel Elahi Galan (Colombia) – ranking 335
- Geoffrey Blancaneaux (France) – ranking 361
- Francesco Forti (Italy) – ranking 367
- George Loffhagen (Great Britain) – ranking 371
- Benito Sanchez Martinez (Germany) – College Accelerator, CO 8
- Mika Petkovic (Germany) – Next Gen Accelerator, NG 432
Five Italians are already in the field
The Italian presence is far from marginal. Gianluca Cadenasso is the first Italian on the list at No. 194, with Lorenzo Giustino just behind at No. 201. Further down are Stefano Napolitano at No. 229, Enrico Dalla Valle at No. 333 and Francesco Forti at No. 367.
Those are five places already occupied on the acceptance list. The number of Italians actually taking the court in Bari could still increase through wild cards and qualifying. The full Italian contingent will therefore become clearer only when the final places in the main draw have been decided.
A list that brings together very different profiles
A quick look through the names shows that there is no single type of player in the field. Moller heads the list, Sachko follows him; just below them are Roberto Carballes Baena, Pol Martin Tiffon and Maxim Mrva. Further down, among others, are Jay Clarke, Daniel Elahi Galan and Geoffrey Blancaneaux.
The ranking shows the starting point; it does not write the tournament in advance. On the ATP Challenger Tour, a week can change quickly: two or three matches can alter a player’s outlook, confidence and ranking position. That is one of the reasons a draw at this level remains open until the very end.
Two entries through the Accelerator programmes
At the bottom of the list are two cases that differ from standard direct acceptances. Benito Sanchez Martinez is listed through the College Accelerator (CO 8), while Mika Petkovic appears through the Next Gen Accelerator (NG 432).
The Accelerator programmes create pathways into professional events for players who meet the ATP’s relevant criteria. For Bari, that means adding two players to the entry list through routes other than ranking alone.
The alternates: who is waiting for a place
Then there is the list of players currently outside the accepted field who can move in if a place opens up. As of 10 September, the first ten alternates listed are:
- Gabriele Piraino (Italy) – ranking 372
- Dimitar Kuzmanov (Bulgaria) – ranking 382
- Andrey Chepelev – ranking 383
- Laurent Lokoli (France) – ranking 386
- Max Wiskandt (Germany) – ranking 387
- Jacopo Vasami (Italy) – ranking 388
- Jonas Forejtek (Czech Republic) – ranking 389
- Georgii Kravchenko (Ukraine) – ranking 392
- Garrett Johns (United States) – ranking 399
- Andrej Martin (Slovakia) – ranking 401
Being among the alternates does not mean being in the tournament already. The list moves as players withdraw and others move up, so the situation for some of these names can change even close to the event.
The entry list is not yet the draw
The Levante Open singles draw will feature 32 players. The acceptance list defines an important part of the field, but the remaining places still have to be filled through the tournament’s entry mechanisms, including wild cards, qualifying and special exempts.
It is therefore normal for today’s list not to match the final draw. Updates will be reported as the composition of the field changes.
Player profiles
The Players section contains individual profiles of the players announced for 2026, including nationality, ATP ranking, career-high ranking and a link to the official profile.
In the meantime, the tournament has stopped being just a date on the calendar: it now has its first names. The next boxes to be filled are the wild cards, qualifiers and the draw. That is when the first edition of the Levante Open will take its final shape.
